Jennifer had a couple of looks that she wanted to capture so her and I discussed a few looks and found a day to shoot. Little did we know that the day we had set up was going to be a snowpocalypse . Either way, she made her way out to me during the biggest snowstorm of the year, I'm glad she did, she worked hard to get the looks we were trying to get, here are some of the results:
I've really wanted to combine light graffiti with a model for quite some time now. Keira and I connected through Model Mayhem and hit Graffiti Alley near Portland Ave. She was patient with me as I tried to figure out exactly what I was doing and as the wind reeked havoc on my equipment. There is room for improvement in technique but in the end we got some pretty good images.
Last week I had the opportunity to collaborate with three great ladies that I connected with on Model Mayhem. Ally, as it turns out is a Toronto model who grew up in the Miramichi where I lived fro three years in my late teens. Small world. We also had Maeghan who is a talented makeup artist and two outfits provided by a Leanne, a local designer. The first two looks are as designed by Leanne and styled by Ally. For the third look Maeghan added some drama to the makeup and we got outside into the cold.
This is when Ally decided that she had enough of the cold!!
I've been wanting to get out for a while now and shoot some night time fashion in order to take advantage of some of the great mixtures of light that the night provides. I connected with a model through Model Mayhem and we were able to set aside an evening to get out and shoot. The wether got a bit chilly as the night went on, but she stuck it out and we walked away from the evening with some images that we were both happy with.
