My Top 10 Images of 2013 PT. 1 10 - 6

This year, I decided that I'd like to do a blog post to highlight some of my favourite images that I made over the past year.  This blog post will highlight images 10 - 6 with Pt. 2 to come after Christmas.

This is one of the first images that I shot with my Nikon D700.  This image spoke to me about the faithfulness of the individual who sits in it day after day.  A lot of work has been done while sitting in this chair.

I did some portfolio building with a local model, she had a few looks that she wanted to capture and I wanted to get some more work in with a model.  While the purpose of this kind of shoot is often working on posing and directing, this moment seemed raw and uninhibited and for me was the most powerful image of our shoot.

This image could not have been directed or posed any better if I tried.  To me it captures the  fun and excitement of my family's time picking apples this fall.  Not only is it one of my favourite images of the year, the day itself may have been my favourite of the year!

If you are a photographer and you ever have the chance to work with an actor, do it!  Michael is a good friend and he's attacking the world with one strong creative idea after the other, whether he's playing a part or dreaming a script, he's fully immersed and always delivers.

When Tanya told me that her and Alfred wanted to do their engagement pictures at the AGO, my heart began to race.  Inspired by our surroundings we ventured forward in an artistic collaboration.  I love this image as it speaks of this time in a couple's journey when it doesn't matter what is going on around you, only you exist.

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do.  I'm looking forward to sharing the rest after Christmas.
